Characteristics

Half Hardy Annual

A sweet salmon coloured zinnia with a mix of double and semi double blooms. Zinnas are great cut and come again flowers, also great for pollinating insects. Oklahoma series has an excellent vase life and the plants are less susceptible to powdery mildew than other Zinnia varieties. Deadhead the blooms to prolong flowering and promote branching.

Care

Pinching out the tip of the zinnia seedlings when they are 30cm tall will encourage stronger stems and loads more flowers. Using sharp secateurs or snips remove the top set of leaves, cutting just above a set of lower leaves.

Harvest

Before completely open. Stem is firm from point of cut to just below the bloom
