Characteristics

Perennial

Royal Rainier cherry is considered one of the best of all cherry varieties. The cherry variety has recently been introduced into Australia and is distinguished from other cherries by the fruit colour, flesh and high sugar content. Royal Rainier is yellow-tinged with a reddish-pink blush while the flesh is white, fine textured and very firm. Fruiting early to mid-season, it benefits from being planted with Stella, Simone, Lala Star, Van and Grace Star.
